Position Overview
We are seeking a younger minister and family to work with our established congregation in Yuba City, CA. that includes 3 elders and a full-time minister who also serves as one of the elders. You would be paid as a full-time minister-evangelist, sharing the pulpit with our current evangelist. Our congregation is in Yuba City, which is about 50 miles north of Sacramento, CA. Our community is considered more conservative than most of the other areas of California. We have good schools, several community colleges in the nearby area, including a University in Chico, CA located about 60 miles north of us. We can fully support the right person financially for this area. You will work full-time with our eldership and minister to mentor the person to eventually replace our minister if and when he retires. You will teach a class on Sunday morning and/or Wednesday night as well as preach 2 to 3 sermons a month. Our minister has several degrees including a MDiv and Doctorial work in Biblical Studies.
